Unique Student Identifier (USI)

If you are undertaking study or receiving qualifications from Upskill Institute, you will need your Unique Student Identifier number before you can register as a student. This is the new Government requirement as of 1 January 2015. Review this Fact Sheet by the Australian Government Department of Industry, then follow the steps below to create your USI.

Create your USI

Visit usi.gov.au to create your Unique Student Identifier. You will need two forms of identification to obtain your USI, such as a Driver’s License and Medicare Card. Additional options are listed on the information sheet linked above.

Once you have your USI, please ensure you bring it with you when you attend any courses.
